The Scientist

About The Scientist

The most innovative engineer of his time and a protégé of Dub’s founding father, King Tubby, The Scientist released highly acclaimed dub albums beginning in the 1980s that literally brought about an evolution in Jamaican music through a Dance Hall style known as "Rub a Dub".  Working mainly with the island's hardest band The Roots Radics at Channel One studio, Scientist would mix A sides for dance hall superstars like Yellowmam and Barrington Levy, then experiment with the tapes and cut dubs at King Tubby's.  These classic albums with unforgettable comic book style covers of Scientist blasting Space Invaders, Winning the World Cup, encountering an angry Pac Man, and chasing Evil Vampires have now been remastered in 2013 and available for download on his website
